Peggy Cadbury
I was born in Pennsylvania, but grew up in Connecticut. Summers were spent on an island off the coast of Maine. I studied in England, and continued my education at the University of Pennsylvania and the Maryland Institute College of Art.
After three years living and working in southeast Asia, I returned to the US and went back to college, to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and settled in San Francisco. I have been practicing nursing here since 1979. I took up watercolor painting in the 1990’s, and have taken workshops with Gerald Brommer, Jan Kunz, Skip Lawrence, Christopher Schink, David Taylor, Katherine Chang Liu, Mel Stabin and others. I recently began working with pastels.
I have shown my work in local group shows, and had a one-person show in Connecticut and New Hampshire in 2005. My paintings are in private collections across the country.
